Clinic Policies

Welcome to Whidbey Island Naturopathic (WIN Clinic). Our mission and hope is to serve your healthcare needs, provide natural and safe treatments, prevent illness, and serve as a community resource for natural health education. We work in conjuction with other health care practitioners to optimize the health of the community. Thank you for choosing us as part of your healthcare team. We welcome any ideas or suggestions you have to enhance our services.

Insurance

It is your responsibility to make sure that your insurance policy covers the treatment you are receiving. If any treatment is not covered by your policy, you will be responsible for payment. It is helpful if you call your insurance company before your visit and get specific coverage information regarding your policy coverage (whether you have a deductible, preventative coverage, naturopathic coverage, etc.).

Payment

Payment is due at time of service for office visits, copays and dispensary items. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, and debit cards. Payment plans are available upon request.

Appointments

We ask that you give 24-hour notice if you need to cancel an appointment. We provide reminder calls the day before your appointment to avoid missed appointments. We charge $25.00 for late cancellations and $35.00 for missed appointments/no shows.

Phone Calls/Email

There is no charge for brief questions over the phone or by email (contact@whidbeynaturopathic.com). Phone consultations can also be arranged if you cannot make it to the office. These are the same price as our office visits (below). If you have an emergency and need to call the doctor/s directly after hours, the emergency cell number is (360) 929-2550.

Confidentiality

You have the right to know how your privacy is being protected in accordance with the HIPAA Act of 1996. Your healthcare information is private and cannot be shared with anyone else without your signed consent. Your records are kept in your chart and secured in our clinic at all times. If charts are in the open, names are covered. Access to the clinic is limited to practitioners, employees, and supervised guests.

By signing our patient intake form, you agree that you are financially responsible for all charges and that you will pay for all services provided. You also authorize WIN as your health care provider to release to your insurance company or companies any and all information necessary to process any claim. You further authorize that payment(s) be made directly to WIN.
