Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE do
not credential naturopathic physicians and so these insurance
plans will not cover your treatment by WIN. We have a 'payment
at time of service discount' for those not billing insurance.
See our Clinic Policies
form (pdf) for details.
Please note that not all plans offered by the insurance companies
listed above have naturopathic benefits. To verify or confirm
coverage, please call your customer service number on the back
of your card. Coverage is usually subject to the same limitations,
co-pay, deductible, and co-insurance as traditional medical care.
When you call your insurance company, it is a good idea to check
that your plan covers preventative care, such as physical exams,
mammograms, and other diagnostic tools for early detection of
health problems.
Prescription drugs are usually covered, but the rules of some
plans may vary.
Nutritional supplements are not, as yet, covered by any insurance
plan. However, supplements costs are tax deductible and not subject
to sales tax if they are prescribed by a doctor. Patients with
health savings accounts often use these accounts to pay for supplements.
Most insurance plans have coverage for standard lab tests ordered
by naturopathic physicians with the exception of Group Health.
Complementary or out of network labs are not typically covered.
Many Premera Blue Cross plans will cover at 60%.
Certain procedures we offer, such as chelation therapy, mesotherapy,
lipotherapy, and the Clean & Lean Cleansing and Weight Loss
Program, are not covered by any insurance plan.
