Therapeutic Modalities

Anti-Aging Medicine

Life extension, healthy aging, and increased quality of life are the goals of this newly emerging form of medicine. Anti-aging medicine uses healthy diet, anti-oxidant therapy and exercise to preserve cells and DNA. Preventing the tissue degeneration that can lead to cardiovascular disease and cancer is one of its specific techniques.

Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy

Naturally derived hormones in dosages similar to that in a youthful person are used in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy to achieve health benefits or ameliorate symptoms of hormonal deficiency. Because they are individually tailored to the patient, bio-identically compounded hormones are usually more effective and safer than synthetic hormones. They can be used to treat menopausal symptoms, rapid aging, fibromyalgia, autoimmune diseases, PMS, low libido, and fibroids.   Read More.

Botanical Medicine and Herbs

The use of plants as medicine is a millennia-old tradition that is now also backed by much modern-day research. Many plant substances are powerful medicines that are safe and effective when used properly. Under clinical conditions, researchers in Europe and Asia have now demonstrated that some plant substances are superior to synthetic drugs.  Read More.

Chelation Therapy

Chelation therapy is the removal of heavy metals from the body to treat cardiovascular disease and heavy metal toxicity. We perform hair and urine testing for heavy metal toxicity and provide effective treatment for correcting a chronic heavy metal burden.  Read More.

Clean & Lean Cleansing and Weight Loss Program

Our physicians have put together a comprehensive weight loss program that is customized to each individual patient. Our weight loss program works because it helps you to make the positive lifestyle changes that lead to lasting weight loss. It also addresses the metabolic stumbling blocks, such as liver congestion, waterlogged tissues, and hormonal imbalances that may be hindering you from achieving your goals.  Read More.

Clinical Nutrition —High Dose Supplementation

Clinical nutrition is the modality of using high dose nutrient supplementation to treat specific medical conditions. There is a wealth of scientific information supporting the use of supplemental vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other substances to optimize health and treat disease.

Detoxification

Detoxification, or cleansing, involves relieving the toxic burden on the body. We use several types of cleanses, based on individual need: colon, liver and/or gall bladder, blood, parasite and heavy metal.  Read More.

Dietary Counseling

Dietary counseling is one of the cornerstones of naturopathic medicine. It refers to both the practice of using food to maintain health and the therapeutic use of food to treat illness. Scientific research has shown that many medical conditions can be treated as effectively with food and nutritional supplements as they can by other means — and with fewer complications and side effects.

Homeopathy

More than 200 years old, homeopathy is a powerful system of medicine that uses highly diluted substances to cure illness. Homeopathic remedies act to enhance the body’s own innate healing responses and do not interact with other medications.  Read More.

Intravenous Nutrition Therapy

Delivering vitamins, minerals, accessory nutrients and/or chelating agents directly into the bloodstream is known as intravenous nutrition therapy. This method has advantages over traditional oral delivery of medications when there are issues of poor gastric absorption, intestinal absorptive limitations, or problems with medication effectiveness because of pre-metabolism of the liver when orally absorbed.

Lifestyle Counseling

Stress management, dietary planning and exercise regimens are all included in lifestyle counseling. Naturopathic physicians also have training in psychological counseling. We will also refer to professional counselors, psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists when appropriate.

Lipotherapy

Lipotherapy works well if you wish to have spot fat reduction in particular areas of your body. The treatment consists of a series of injections of ingredients that cause emulsification and lysis, or dissolution, of fat cells. The fatty acids are then slowly reabsorbed and flushed from the body over a period of weeks. The result is a loss of fat cells and visible fat in the treatment area. Read More.

Mesotherapy Cellulite Treatment

Cellulite can be a problem regardless of your weight. Mesotherapy Cellulite Treatment is a French injection technique, similar to lipotherapy, used to treat and reduce cellulite.  Read More.

Minor Surgery

Repair of superficial wounds and removal of foreign bodies, cysts and other superficial masses, using local anesthesia as needed, are included in minor surgery along with other simple procedures.

Pharmaceutical Drug Treatment

Naturopathic physicians in Washington state can prescribe most major classes of pharmaceutical drugs. We consider these to be the strongest medications in the hierarchy of therapeutics. They also have the highest incidence of side effects. We only prescribe them when appropriate, for example when necessary for organ support, or when pharmaceutical drugs are genuinely a more effective form of treatment and preferred by the patient after being informed of the various alternatives.

Physical Medicine

Many medical conditions respond favorably to various hands-on treatments. Musculoskeletal complaints are obviously prominent among them, but physical medicine also often produces improvement in internal complaints.  Read More.
